So if you're needing your yard tidied in the brisbane area - and by yard I'm talking a little overgrown rainforesty type 6 mtr square garden that would take all of 2 hrs ish to cut back and take the excess foliage away - then you don't want to be hiring VIP Home Services. Especially when you have booked them 3 weeks in advance and on the day of the appointment you are sitting at a vacant property at 7am waiting for them to show. When it's 8am you may then send the gardener you have been assigned a text asking for the approx time they will arrive so you know you won't be sitting in an empty house --- waiting waiting... When the gardener's brother texts you back to say due to staff shortages the appointment will need to be postponed until another 2 weeks you may just get a little upset.. Considering this is the final thing that is needed to be done at the property in order for you to get your bond back. When you finally talk to said gardeners 'brother' you may get a little hot under the collar explaining that you have been completely let down and it is not good enough to advise the client after the appointment time that it's not going to happen on that day or any day soon. Plus it's all made even more frustrating by the fact that you may have taken the day off work to accommodate the only day they said they could do the work. When you call the main VIP number to see if there is ANYONE else that can help and get told 'nup sorry - he's the only guy that does that area'. You know then that you're in for a shit day.
Cut to at least 50 phone calls later to every home service/gardener type in the book, who all practically laugh at you when you ask if the job could be done before 2009, you vow to never recommend VIP and start wishing on the full moon for a gardener to drop from the heavens..
